As a multicultural ad agency, Barrett and Welsh wishes clients and vendors for all cultural celebrations. For Chinese New Year 2018 — the Year of the Dog — the agency sent out this Good luck in dog years email greeting. The line in Chinese reads “Good luck/fortune for this dog year.” The wish is repeated in English with a playful addition “May it be the equal of 8 human years.” The solid 8 in this line is a clue:  some 80+ solid 8s are hidden in plain sight in the Dalmatian’s spots. The more you find, the better your luck as 8 is a number that signifies good fortune in Chinese culture.
