For World Car Free Day on September 22nd, Burlington Transit decided to enlist high school students in a massive push for transit. It was to be a car free day promotion with measurable goals, supported by students – many of whom didn’t even drive. It was a giant ask. Naturally, we responded with a monster solution. The Make a Monster Statement campaign featured a tribe of Green Monsters who exhorted kids to go green with great success.

Green action pledges were collected from all Burlington high schools as schools competed against each other to make the biggest monster statement - with as many as 300 pledges coming from a single school. As far as we're concerned, it's proof that our planet will be in good hands going forward.
