Four Seasons Chiang Mai Travelogue
← Back to work-
Developing the Four Seasons Chiang Mai Travelogue campaign required travelling to Chiang Mai where, as the copy says, even the air is an invitation to discover the different. To examine the five-star luxuries of a new resort set amidst paddy fields, flowers and forest. To see the forest from the back of a caparisoned elephant. To explore ancient ruins. To visit a remote hill tribe and taste of simple country pleasures. To venture into a city bazaar to buy traditional Northern Thai artefacts. To hear the drums and kites and colours of a Songkran celebration. To sit on a stone bench with a monk and discuss a recipe for love. To question why the Buddha smiles. There is a sign on a road leading from Chiang Mai that reads, rather appositely, “Have a nice trip to you.” Once we arrived at that destination, it was the easiest thing to write about. Being in the state of nirvana simply requires that all your baggage must be checked through. The writer of these ads was happy to comply.
